This year’s Research Symposium will shine a spotlight on the St Vincent’s Fitzroy Health and Innovation Precinct, highlighting research activity across departments and partners.
The event will officially launch the Clinical Science Incubator, an MMS program designed to support career pathways for clinician-scientists and foster collaboration between clinician-scientists and clinically-focused discovery scientists. The launch will be followed by a panel discussion on supporting clinician-scientist pathways.
The program will recognise the achievements of our MMS colleagues and graduate research students, including Chancellor’s Prize, MMS Honorary Supervisor Award, and MMS Publication Prize winners.
The program will feature contributions from across the School and St Vincent’s Fitzroy Health and Innovation Precinct, including:
- Professor Sarath Ranganathan, Head of School, Melbourne Medical School
- Dr Antony Tobin, Chief Medical Officer, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
- Professor Christobel Saunders, Research Director, Melbourne Medical School
- Professor Jo Douglass, Clinical Science Incubator Lead, Melbourne Medical School
- Associate Professor Barbara White, Clinical Science Incubator Deputy Lead, Melbourne Medical School
- Professor Jodie McVernon, Executive Director, MACH
Following the formal program, we invite you to stay and continue the conversation with colleagues while enjoying drinks and refreshments until 6:30pm.
We invite colleagues from across the Melbourne Medical School to join us for an afternoon of insight, recognition and future directions at St Vincent’s Fitzroy Health and Innovation Precinct. Doors open from 2:30pm.
